Positive aspects of the product (pros): great variety of very good food Cons: it can add up fast!
We've come down for F&W twice and have not been disappointed. The booth workers are very friendly and explain the dishes from their country. The hard part is choosing which items to sample- it's much more than most budgets and stomachs can take in a day. We've gone a few weeks after the festival opens and have benefited from reading reviews and seeing pictures posted on the DIS on which offerings are good and which are so-so. The chicken sha-sha never fails to disappoint and I'm a big fan of the lobster roll although some feel it's too much $$ for the size.

We always look forward the Food and Wine Festival. For people who love walking around the World Showcase but think they just see the same things over and over, Food and Wine brings something different. You can sample a variety of sample sized foods and beverage but it has a lot more. I particularly like some of the entertainment you can just happen upon. We've had many pleasant surprises. As an example, a few years ago Kansas was a featured state at the festival and we didn't think it would have much to offer but when we got to their area in the back of EPCOT we ended up staying there for almost an hour. There was a group of musicians that included a 10 year old fiddler that were nothing short of outstanding.
Many people carefully plan their visits to the Food and Wine Festival because of the great things offered. We have done that and enjoyed it, but we often don't plan our visits and know we always have a great time. It feels very liberating to be able to have a terrific time at Disney without a lot of planning.

I started going to the Food and Wine festival two years ago and now I am hooked. It's a great way to sample different foods and beverages and learn a few things along the way. It's an event to not be missed.

The Food and Wine Festival is probably our favorite event at WDW. The atmosphere at the World Showcase becomes lively with guests enjoying the immense variety of wines (as well as beers) and the foods from around the world. It is great fun to walk from one demonstration to another, then pick and choose which food stands to try. We have never been disappointed.

Even without doing any of the big events, we really enjoyed the festival. We walked around trying a lot of the different foods and wines at the booths and had a lot of fun. Also did the Samuel Adams beer seminar, which is free, and it was enjoyable as well.

I do love Food and Wine. We went on the first Sunday of the festival last year and really took advantage of the free seminars and free beer sampling. We really liked the maple syrup seminar where we tasted the different grades of maple syrup and maple sugar.
We also spent a LOT of money going around to the different kiosks and sampling the food, wine, and beer. If you plan on doing any drinking - this will not be cheap.

We left the Kids with Grandma and instead of eating out we ate and drank around the World Showcase. Food was great, and the atmosphere was excelent. We also got to see Keith Partridge (David Cassidy). Lots of fun.

The food and wine festival is so much fun! I wish I could afford to do it every year. It's fun to eat and drink your way around the lagoon, but the prices are getting high so it'll get expensive pretty qu8ickly. The food quality is great though and there are a lot of interesting offerings. The kiosk design is fun to look at too, and I enjoy the countries to add little exhibits to accompany their stands.
There are also a good amount of interesting free and ticketed events to attend too, which is nice. We enjoyed the cooking demos and wine tastings at the festival center. I just wish they chose a location for the festival center that wasn't so far away from the World Showcase. It's sort of inconvenient and tucked away. The seminars all fill up fast too, so you waste a lot of time waiting in line to get a place in one of those classes. The free food and drink that's often offered at them makes up for it. I also wish they'd add more seating around the World Showcase to sit and eat. It was hard to find somewear to eat, especially if you bought something that requires utensils to eat as there aren't many tables.

WOW where start, what a great way to try food that you would possible never get a chance to eat. The prices are not outragous and the portions are the right size to keep eating around the world. I did not attend any of the seminars, just their for the food. Highly recommend this for an adults only trip. One negative is lack of seating to eat, they have few tables to stand next to to eat, but not enough. Try the cheddar cheese soup at Canada and the cheese plate from Ireland (I like cheese).

Our favorite event bar none at WDW. We usually go for a week and visit EPCOT during the week as opposed to the weekends where it can get very crowded. An opportunity to sample food and wine from countries around the world.

Sorry, we just weren't that impressed. We found the portions to be small. It can add up quickly price wise.
I'd suggest eating a good meal at one of the Epcot restaurants and then snacking your way around WSC later.
The best exhibit this past year was the one from Louisiana. I'm not just saying that because I'm from Louisiana but they actually had exhibits, Zydeco music and dancing, not just food for sale. It was interactive. A lot of fun!

The best part (obviously) is the ability to try the different foods that you normally can't get, but there is the perk of being able to try to cheese soup from Le Cellier without an ADR. However, it is expensive and some of the people get stupid with all the extra alcohol. Nice until dark when the people start drinking too much. But it's not that big of a problem - not enough of a reason not to experience it.

When I attend, I do not plan any sit down meals, but will graze amongst several kiosks during meal times. There are some terrific dishes. Since I don't drink alcohol, I cannot comment upon the wine or beer aspects of the Festival. Weekends can get very crowded. I hope that budget cuts will not affect this years Food & Wine Festival as much as it has the Flower and Garden Festival.

Always a large variety of foods and wines from across the globe. Most of the foods are high quality and fun. Every country has items that all can enjoy as well as the more exotic flavors.
The food tends not to change from year to year, but that's only an issue if you go every festival.
You cant get a full meal at one stop but eating your way around the world is always a blast. Best festival in WDW.

The only negatives are the rising prices and the popularity of the festival. If you want to experience World Showcase aside from the food, do it early in the day on a weekday. Skip the weekends if you aren't interested in the festival. Otherwise, come just for the food and bring a wad of cash. The dishes are tasting or tiny-tapas sized and cost a few dollars each. Each featured country has a kiosk on the walkway around the WS. We wished we had allowed more time to experience this.

An absolutely wonderful event. If you enjoy food and you enjoy wine (like my wife and I) then you will have a ball. Try to sample everything as you walk around the World Showcase. Enjoy the free events down at the Festival Center. Our favorite event was the Party of the Senses - one of the finest events we've ever been to. Note: Food carts are not open during extra magic hours. And may close early.

We haven't done any of the ticketed events, but have done a couple of the free seminars. My husband really enjoyed the beer tasting done by a representative from Samuel Adams. All of us enjoyed the different cuisines offered in the booths around World Showcase. My kids even tried escargot for the first time there(and liked it!). Another thing we loved was the wine walkabout at the Australia booth. The servers were very educated about their products and it was a lot of fun.

I love the F&W festival. It is fun to walk around the world and taste foods from the different countries. I also enjoy talking to the people working the various kiosks about their food and the country they are from. This is not only a tasty experience but a learning experience also.
The Party for the Senses can be expensive but a must-do if you can afford it. You get to enjoy a mini-music concert before the actual party. At the party there are various food pods that you can go back again and again. The food was very good and the last time I went, there were Cirque de Soleil performers.
One tip from my own experience to keep in mind is - buy a Disney gift card so you don't have to worry about carrying cash.

It is a lot of fun to eat your way around World Showcase. Just don't ask me to share my lamb chop! We love to be a bit adventurous and try different things to eat. This is the perfect opportunity to try many different cuisines from around the world.
If you enjoy beer and wine, this is also a great chance to try some of them as well.

This year I went with my parents and boyfriend for the Food and Wine Festival. This is my third time for the festival, and each time I enjoy it more and more. Tasting the food at all the different boths is really an experience - especially trying items you would never think of ordering. This year we had the free dining, so we were able to use our snack credits for the sample - which made the experience even better. There really wasn't anything we sampled that we were dissapointed in (and we sampled at least 1 item from each both!). The fondest memories from the festival was all of the cast members who saw our celebration pins and took time to ask about the celebration and offer their congratulations.
p.s. - how many other people got the short ribs from France and wondered if they were given the right item/where the ribs were? :-) Once we bit into the sample, it quickly became one of our favorites (right behind the cheese soup!)

I try to go every year, this year we had 6 in our party. we went into epcot at 3 pm and hit all the food booths .I really liked the cheese soup in Canada and beer in Germany. too many people to go onto rides so we just walked around and then we stayed for the fireworks and walked the whole park .try to go, you will love it.

We visited during Columbus Day weekend, 10/8 and 9. Crowds were expected to be large, but terrible weather kept them away. We got to try a lot of booths, but not as many as we wanted.
Some highlights were the Pumpkin Mousse from Hops and Barley, the Dragon Berry Colada from Caribbean, the Primavera Smoothie from Italy, and the Tres Leches Verrine from Desserts & Champagne.
Did not care for the Boolgogi Beef from South Korea (too spicy) or the Ravioli from Italy (while cheesy, it tasted like Chef Boyardee).

I love the Food and Wine Festival. It is great to get to try different foods, without committing to an entire meal. It always gets me to try things I wouldn't have a chance to otherwise.
I put N/A for price paid because I used snack credits form the dinning plan to buy all my food. If you paying cash I would expect to spend around $150, with most items being around $5.
The down side is that it can get crowed on the weekend and that there aren't enough places to eat all your tasty treat so you end up huddled around trash cans using them as impromptu tables.
All things considered I would recommend this as one of the top adult good times in Disney and I know my friends are always envious when I get to go.
