Positive aspects of the product (pros): recently renovated, roomy suites, decent restaurant Cons: not all buildings are as nice as others, suites are farthest from lobby and shuttle pick up/drop off
The hotel has four suites in building four. The suites are the farthest from the lobby and the ART shuttle pick up/drop off. Suite had 2 queen beds, a large mini fridge, microwave, breakfast bar and sink area, along with lots of drawer space. It also had a couch (pull out bed) and a tv in each room.
Bathroom was set up strange--lights on the far wall where you have to walk through the dark room to get to it, door hits your knees when using the toilet, etc. Large counter area though.
Hotel was recently renovated, so the 'cowboy' theme is non-existant. Green and gold in a modern retro design is now in it's place.
Pool looked small but nice. It was heated, but too cool for us to swim. There was also a hot tub. Kids eat free with a paying adult, so we utilized that for breakfast most days. Room service was also used--they were quick and the prices were reasonable. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Some buildings (there are 5 total) are newer (nicer) than others.
The hotel is the first stop on the ART shuttle route 11. The shuttle runs approx. every 20-35 minutes, depending on crowds, traffic, etc. The shuttle drop off is also one of the farthest from the park entrances.
The room was clean and housekeeping was timely--we had no issues and, really, on this vacation, it was just what we needed.
