Description: The Jungle Cruise at the Magic Kingdom takes you on a 10 minute tour of four continents. The early version of the Jungle Cruise was serious and based on Disney's True Life Adventure Series. More than likely, it wasn't packing them in since this ride is now one of the funniest at Disney World. You'll board a boat with names like "Amazon Annie" with your trusted guide at the helm. While they all follow the same "shtick", the guides are what make this attraction so much fun, especially if they add a few ad-libs. Even when you've heard the same corny joke a thousand times before, you can't help but laugh.
The Jungle Cruise boats are relatively quick loading. Guests in wheelchairs or ECV's can remain in them. Sign Language interpreters for the deaf are available on special days.Information: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/magickingdom/adv-jungle.htm Opened: 1971 Keywords: Jungle Cruise

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Fun, relaxing Cons: Needs updating, it's no Animal Kingdom
This is a fun boat ride, but after the first time, the cast member's jokes get pretty old. Do this BEFORE you do Animal Kingdom, if you do the Safari first, this is much less fun.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A smooth boat ride Cons: Maybe too smooth for older children!
I gave this ride a 6 because I think with so many advances in animatronics that Disney needs to update this ride. It's a "one and done".

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Funny, Relaxing, Entertaining Cons:
This is a good ride for anyone who visits the Magic Kingdom and worthy of regular visits for those who regularly return to the park. Waiting in line you'll hear big band and swing music with periodic humorous interruptions by the "voice of the jungle," Albert Awol. The ride itself does not pretend to be more realistic than it is and the experience is based somewhat on your boat driver as they may ad-lib or not. It's full of good light humor and puns and gives you time for food to settle if you just ate.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): fun, cute ride, funny driver Cons: none
My mom and I went on this ride a Sunday night in May. There was a five minute wait that went by very quickly. Our tour guide was hysterical, with very dry humor that was meant for adults. Unfortunately, some of the parents didn't seem to enjoy this and it obviously missed with the kids. However, as an adult, I really appreciated it. It is a cute ride that goes by quickly. Pretty scenery, nothing scary, and not rough at all.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): funny, good for families Cons: some colors on the animals are fading
the ride is good for families with small children, as well as people who love the jungle and want a good laugh. however, since the ride has been around for many years, some of the audio animatronics look a little old and their paint is starting to fade.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Disney Treasure, Cast Members Cons: Lines
While some might say this ride is dated, others would say it's Classic. It is a Disney favorite and should never be replaced. The thing that makes or breaks this attraction will always be the "skipper" of your cruise. The jokes are corny, and are supposed to be, but as they say, it's all in the delivery. Go into the sailing as not expecting anything more than stupid, corny jokes and you will have a great time. The lines are always long, primarily because of its location and it being the 1st major attraction to the left of the hub. People swamp this from early morning on. Use Fastpass if you can. And for an even better experience, make sure you try to see the ride uring the daytime and also during the night.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Laugh out Loud Funny, Cast Members Cons: none
I was skeptical about this ride because my mom remembered it from trips and said it was cheesy. I had SO much fun! I sat in one of the front seats and the skipper kept picking on me (either that or he was flirting lol). He had me seriously laughing out loud! I could see it being a totally different experience if you had a different CM (or even a different seat lol) but I truly had a blast. If your skipper is Robert, prepare to almost pee your pants :P

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cons:
Walked right on this shortly after park opening on 5/18/10. As the description says, the skipper really makes or breaks the ride, and ours was fantastic! Though it is corny and outdated, it still gets a chuckle, and it's a classic!

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Humorous cast member interaction, Great at night! Cons:
Just rode the Jungle Cruise late at night. The skipper was great at improvising and letting my 4 year old son "drive" the boat. Although, he wasn't always on script, her certainly made if fun for my little guy! Overall, this is always an entertaining attraction.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): It's Old Disney Cons: It's Old Disney
I know when you read the title you think blahhh. But I think a lot of people share the same attitude. I love the ride. But I think more from a nostalgic point of view. Iloved this ride when I was a kid. Its a nice resting point in between major rides. You can relax and enjoy the funny aspects of it. The driver makes the ride if you ask me. If you get a good one it makes all the difference. Go on it a couple of times and you might fall in love all over again. Those dog gone hunters are never getting off that pole.....lol

Positive aspects of the product (pros): interesting boat ride, good animatronics Cons: corny jokes, was better before the kilmanjaro safaris opened
Jungle Cruise is a nice ride down a river, but be prepared for one corny joke after another. Ride this before going to Animal Kingdom. the animatronics are great but nothing compares to the real thing.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A Disney classic. Cory jokes after another. Depending on your tour guide, depends on how fun the ride is. Great animatronics Cons: cory jokes
A Disney classic and loved it as a kid. Not much as changed over the 40 years including the cory jokes. It is a great ride to take a break from the long lines and a chance to sit for awhile while on a ride. I think riding it at night is better than during the day.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A Disney Classic Cons: Long lines, but they do move fairly well
Even with the corny jokes, and the neverchanging "script", this is a MUST ride! I love it, and will gladly stand in line for it - with or without my FASTPASS

Positive aspects of the product (pros): never a dull moment; always funny Cons: would be nice if animals were real
Although the skipper sticks to roughly the same script each time, you can't help laughing at the silly jokes.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Funny experience overall Cons:
This is a must ride whenever I go. It's not anything epic, but it is quite humorous both while listening to Albert AWOL in the wait queue and while listening to the skipper on the ride. Some skippers get more into it than others though.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Classic, hilarious, relaxing Cons: Corny, the script doesn't change
This ride is a very nice all-ages ride. Nothing too scary, and it probably wouldn't annoy adults with being too geared toward the little ones either (e.g. It's a Small World). The jokes are funny, but the script doesn't change, and the skippers can't really add variations, so it doesn't give you that feeling that you want to ride over and over. It is also a great break from walking and it's a beautiful ride.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Cast member captain Cons: Ride has not changed
We had a very funny cast member/captain on this adventure into the jungle. I did not get her name but she was a very petite young lady in her early 20's with blonde hair. She had some new jokes we had not heard on previous adventures and made my wife and I laugh quite a bit.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): a favorite Cons:
Your entertainment experience depends on your captain...this time ours was really funny, but we have had some that just seem to go through the motions and tell flat jokes.
This ride hasn't changed much over the years, and during some times of the day, the lines are pretty incredible! But ride it early, or get a fast pass if the lines are long.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): The Speal Cons: The dated Effects
Look, this is an old ride, the only thing that makes it good is the speal of the Captains which can be good or bad depending on who you get.

A family favorite - when in the MK, we go twice a day....Where else can you see "the backside of water".
